The Corps of Hussars (Cavalry) on the 16th February 1916 at Scarborough,
Yorkshire.   Aged: 19 years 3 months - Employed as a Cash Clerk.  Height: 5
feet 7½ inches - Weight: 128 lb - Expanded chest: 35½ inches with a 3½
expansion - fit for Class I.  Posted to the 11th Battalion Cavalry Reserve
on the 23rd February 1916.
Posted to France, sailing from Folkestone to Boulogne on the 30th November
1916 and into the 10th Battalion, Durham Light Infantry at 35 Infantry Base
Depot No. 35 at Etaples.   Posted to the field on the 9th December 1916.  
Awarded 14 days Furlow on the 17th January 1917.
Reported as missing on the 26th March 1918.  He was confirmed as missing
and presumed dead on the 19th June 1918.   His body must have been
recovered, or at least identified after that date.
