Born - Mary Ada Higham on the 24th July 1886, the birth being during the
September quarter 1886 - in the Barton on Irwell R.D. - ref: 8c/660, the
eldest child of Thomas & Martha Ann Higham (nee Barlow).

1891 Census - 4 Grove Terrace (next to 1 Albert Place), Urmston Lane,
Stretford.   Daughter - aged: 4 - born: Stretford.   Head of household -
Thomas Higham - Married - aged: 28 - occ: Wheelwright - born: Stretford.  
Also Martha A. Higham - Wife - aged: 29 - born: Flixton.  Plus 1 younger
sister.

1901 Census - 38 Urmston Lane, Stretford.   Daughter - aged: 14 - born:
Stretford.    Head of household - Thomas Higham - Married - aged: 38 - occ:
Wheelwright - born: Stretford.   Also Martha A. Higham - Wife - aged: 39 -
born: Flixton.  Plus 4 younger siblings.

1911 Census - Chapel House, Kings Street, Stretford.   Daughter - aged: 24
- occ: Handkerchief Embroidress Machinist.   Head of household - Thomas
Higham - Married - aged: 48 - occ: Wheelwright - born: Stretford.   Also
Martha A. Higham - Wife - aged: 47 - born: Flixton.  Plus 5 younger
siblings.

Married Mark Bailey during the December quarter 1917 in the Barton on
Irwell R.D. - ref: 8c/1059.  Mark was also killed in this incident.

1939 National Registration - 81 Moss Road, Stretford.

Mary A. Bailey - Married - born: 24th July 1886 - occ: Unpaid Domestic
Duties.

CWD Record No.103.      Died as a result of blast and splinters along with
her husband at 81 Moss Road, Stretford, where her body was found at 14.10
hrs on the 24th December 1940 and taken to the Church Street Mortuary,
Stretford   She was identified by her father - Thomas Higham, 138 Barton
Road, Stretford, to whom her body was released for burial.

Buried 30/12/1940 - Burial No. 17,900.    Cemetery records incorrectly
state that she was 64 years of age.

CWGC - of 81 Moss Road.   Daughter of Thomas and Martha Ann Higham, of 138
Barton Road; wife of Mark Bailey.   Died at 81 Moss Road.
