being registered during the March quarter 1910 in the Barton upon Irwell
R.D. - ref: 8c/659, the son of John Frederick & Sarah Elizabeth Cowan (nee
Carruthers).   Baptised at St. Clement P.C., Urmston on the 19th February
1910.  His father being recorded as a Copper Smith.

Coppersmith (Electrical) - born: Manchester.  Also - Sarah Elizabeth Cowan

1921 Census - 4 Summer Villas, Urmston.   Son - aged: 112 - born: Urmston.

Sarah E. Cowan - Wife - aged: 43 - born: Salford.   Plus 6 siblings.

Married Ethel May Gwendoline Dean during the December quarter 1932 in the
Barton upon Irwell R.D. - ref: 8c/1134.

1939 National Registration - No Trace (presumably serving in the Forces).  
His wife Ethel, was residing at 6 Piper Hill Avenue, Manchester.   Ethel
M.G. Cowan - Married - born:10th October 1914 - occ: Presser Down Quilts. 
There were two redacted records - presumably their children - Arthur E.
Cowan born: 1933 and George L. Cowan - born: 1937.

He joined the Metro-Vicker's Company as an Assembler in August 1926 and
employed in the Meter Assembly Department.    Joined the Territorial Army
and mobilised in September 1939, later posted to North West Europe.    KinA
in North West Europe in September 1944.

CWGC - Son of John Frederick and Sarah Elizabeth Cowan; husband of Ethel
May Gwendoline Cowan of Old Trafford Manchester.
