the son of Samuel & Priscilla Johnson (nee Wardle).

1901 Census - Town Lane, Mobberley.   Son - aged: 7 - born: Mobberley. 
Head of household - Samuel Johnson - Married - aged: 58 - occ: General
Labourer - born: Mobberley.    Also Priscilla Johnson - Wife - aged: 45 -
born: Macclesfield, Cheshire.   Plus 2 elder brothers.

1911 Census - Town Lane, Mobberley.   Son - aged: 17 - occ: Groom &
Gardener - born: Mobberley.  Head of household - Samuel Johnson - Married -
aged: 68 - occ: Drainer on Estate - born: Mobberley.    Also Priscilla
Johnson - Wife - aged: 56 - born: Macclesfield, Cheshire.   Plus 2 elder
brothers.

WO 363 - Enlisted into the Royal Field Artillery at Manchester on the 17th
May 1915.   He was aged: 22, resided at Town lane, Mobberley and employed
as a loco Fireman.    He was 5 feet 8 1/4 inches in height and weighed 140
lb.   His chest measurements were 35 inches expanded to 38 inches and had
Good physical development.  He had Blue/Grey eyes, a Fresh complexion and 
Brown hair.

Posted to the Mediterranean and embarked at Devonport on the 2nd February
1916, arriving at Alexandria, Egypt on the 23rd February.   He next
embarked at Alexandria on the 27th March 1916, arriving at Marseilles on
the 3rd April 1916.   He died in the 94th Field Ambulance on the 27th June
1916.
