Born during the September quarter 1923 in the Bucklow R.D. - ref: 8a/292, the son of James William & Harriett Jackson (Gibbs). See - http://www.pegasusarchive.org/normandy/war_41cdo.htm website for detailed information on the 41 R.M. Commando's part in the Normandy landings. Death reported in the 08/06/1945 edition of the Sale & Stretford Guardian. His Father - James William Jackson, died 02/07/1937 aged 51, is buried in Timperley (Christ Church P.C.) Churchyard. His private gravestone also commemorates his son "Billy".
