Attended Altrincham Grammar School. Employed on the clerical staff of the Vacuum Oil Co. Joined the RAF in August 1942. Flight Engineer. Flying with 77 Sqn, they took off at 1931hrs from R.A.F. Elvington, Yorkshire, in a Halifax Mk.II, No JD405 KN-Z on a bombing operation over München. No other information, other than the average age of the crew of 7, was 22 years. They are all buried at Durnbach Cem. M.I. - In God's gracious keeping. May his soul rest in everlasting peace". | |||
