the son of Arthur & Annie Elizabeth Jackson (nee Lowe).

Manchester.    Head of household - Arthur Jackson - Married - aged: 34 -
occ: Pattern Card Maker - born: Hulme, Manchester.   Also - Annie Elizabeth
Jackson - Wife - aged: 35 - born: Sale.    Plus 3 younger siblings.

1911 Census - 9 St. Margaret's Terrace, Church Lane, Ashton upon Mersey.  
Son - aged: 18 - occ: Drilling Mechanic - born: Hulme, Manchester.  Head of
household - Arthur Jackson - Married - aged: 43 - occ: Pattern Card Maker -
born: Hulme, Manchester.   Also - Annie Elizabeth Jackson - Wife - aged: 44
- born: Brooklands,  Sale.    Plus 2 younger siblings.

Employed at Westinghouse, but not on their Roll of Honour.

Enlisted on the 25th October 1915.     Formerly 27899 Cheshire Rgt.

He was gassed in May 1916.

Killed instantly together with two other soldiers when a shell burst.

Death reported in the 22/12/1916 edition of the Altrincham Guardian.

Pension Records - Dependant - Mother - Mrs. A Jackson, 9 St. Margaret's
Terrace,  Church Lane, Ashton upon Mersey.   Mrs. Jackson died in 1920 and
his father's name inserted as residing at 13 Church Lane, Ashton upon
Mersey.   His mother was awarded a weekly pension of 5/- w.e.f. the 6th
April 1918.
