- Widow - born: 5th August 1876 - occ: Invalid.

CWD Report No. 26.  Died as a result of falling debris at 36 Stanley Road,
Old Trafford, from where her body was recovered at 12.30 hrs on the 3rd
January 1941 and taken to the City Road Mortuary, Old Trafford.    Her body
was identified by her brother-in-law - Thomas Rutter, 26 Allenby Road,
Cadishead and released for burial to the Eccles Co-op Funeral Service.

Death registered in Stretford Borough.    Buried on 08/01/1941.

Killed when a land mine landed on Stanley Road, Old Trafford.   This was
the worst single incident in terms of loss of life in the whole of Greater
Manchester during WW2.   In total, thirty three persons were killed.
