Born on the 23rd September 1873, the birth being registered during the
December quarter 1873 in the Salford R.D. - ref: 8d/103, the son of Daniel
& Emily Wellwood (neé Hesketh).

1881 Census - 70 Ordsall Lane, Salford.   Grandson - aged: 7 - Scholar -
born: Salford.   Head of household - Mary A. Wellwood - Widow - aged: 63 -
occ: Butcher - born: Salford.   Plus Daniel Wellwood - Son (Frederick's
father) - Widower - aged: 36 - occ: Cashier - born: Bermuda, West Indies. 
Plus Frederick's younger brother and 1 domestic servant.  His mother died
in 1877 - aged: 28.

His father married Annie Goodwin in 1889.

1891 Census - 8 Howard Street, Salford.   Son - aged: 17 - occ: Clerk at
Provision Merchants - born: Salford.   Head of household - Daniel Wellwood
- Married -aged: 46 - occ: Manager at Skin Yard - born: Hamilton, West
Indies.   Also Annie Wellwood (Frederick's step-mother) - Wife - aged: 30 -
born: Salford.   Plus 1 elder brother, a baby half-brother and 2 domestic
servants.

Frederick married Katherine Dora Riley during the December quarter 1898 in
the Salford R.D. - ref: 8d/210.

1901 Census - 63 Derby Road, Pendleton.  Head - Married - aged: 27 - occ:
Secretary of Hides & Skins Company - born: Salford.  Also - Dora Wellwood -
Wife - aged: 24 - born: Salford.   Plus their one year old daughter.  Also
residing with them was Dora's mother, brother and sister..

1911 Census - 4 Cambridge Grove, Eccles.   Head - Married - aged: 37 - occ:
Manager in Hide Trade - born: Salford.   Also - Katherine Dora Wellwood -
Wife - aged: 34 - born: Salford.   Plus - their 11 year old daughter,
Frederick's step-brother, Dora's mother and brother.

1939 National Registration - 14 Park Road, Salford.   Frederick H. Wellwood
- Widower - born: 23rd September 1874 - occ: Hide & Skin Broker (retired) &
A.R.P. Service.

His wife - Katherine Dora Wellwood died in 1931, aged: 54.

One of 16 people killed at the First Aid Post, 94/96 Gilda Brook Road,
Eccles.

CWGC - Air Raid Warden; of 14 Park Road, Salford. Died at 94 Gilda Brook
Road.

Commemorated on St. Mary's P.C., Eccles stained glass window in the north
aisle towards its east end.  Also on the Salford Warden's Memorial.

Only his wife's name is on the gravestone.
