Born during the March quarter 1920 in the Bucklow R.D. - ref: 8a/412, the son of William & Annie Thomason (nee Watkinson). Flying with 103 Sqn, they took off at 2102hrs from R.A.F. Elsham Wolds, Lincolnshire, in a Lancaster Mk.III, No. NE136 PM-L to bomb rail facilities at Revigny. While homeward bound, they were shot down by a night-fighter. The aircraft was set on fire and crashed at Biencourt-sur-Orge, Meuse, 28 km SSE of Biencourt-le-Duc | |||
